Diseño de una ruta overlanding como modelo de turismo alternativo y ecológico en la zona norte de la provincia de Manabí (cantones el Carmen y Pedernales)

Abstract

The objective of this research work was to contribute to the development of tourist activities in the cantons of El Carmen and Pedernales, with the design of an adventure overlanding route, which is presented as a tourist alternative that promotes alternative tourism through the use of of the natural and cultural tourism resources, which allowed the viability of the proposal. Initially, a diagnosis was made to study the current situation of the area and in this way to know what the resources are, the needs and what was proposed as strategies that served the purpose of the investigation. Interviews were conducted with key players in the tourism sector in this area, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, surveys were conducted by WhatsApp, the result of which showed a positive acceptance of the proposal, in the same way with the data obtained from the Surveys made it possible to determine the type of profile of the visitor to whom the activities on the overlanding route will be directed. With the results obtained from the situational diagnosis, the interview and, above all, the survey, it was possible to structure the program and activities to be implemented on the route, thus improving tourism operations in the area, facilitating the execution, operation, control and promotion of resources. natural and cultural that will be used in a sustainable way for the growth of tourism and in this way promote local social, economic and environmental development.
