Estudio de la accesibilidad para personas con discapacidad en las instalaciones de la terminal de cruceros de Manta.

Abstract

Accessibility is a right that all people deserve, especially those with disabilities. This is a very important issue, which has been transcending worldwide over the years. To this end, this project aims to conduct an analysis of the accessibility of the facilities of the Cruise Terminal in the city of Manta. The methodological procedure focuses on determining the conditions of accessibility and attends to the following logic: generate an idea, identify the problem, establish objectives, collect information for the creation of the theoretical framework, apply techniques, and analyze results and conclusions. This research is of a documentary and descriptive type. The analytical and the inductive-deductive method were used, as for the techniques the interview and the observation were applied and finally as tools, the interview questionnaire and the observation card. It is possible to conclude that the Cruise Terminal is a very well designed site, however, it has certain weaknesses in terms of free movement of people with disabilities, it should be mentioned, that these shortcomings need to be corrected, considering that certain elements or devices should be implemented to improve the quality of service of it.
