Abstract

The use of psychoactive substances constitutes a social problem that particularly affects adolescents and young adults, impacting physical and mental health, as well as family and community relationships. In Ecuador, the increase in use and high drug seizure rates demonstrate the magnitude of the phenomenon, with the city of Manta being a particularly vulnerable area. Given this context, it is crucial to analyze the factors that influence rehabilitation and, above all, the social and family reintegration of those undergoing therapeutic processes. The purpose of this study was to describe the influence of support networks on the socioemotional stability and family reintegration of users of the "Volver a Vivir" Rehabilitation Clinic, as well as to understand the factors that enhance or limit their effectiveness. The research was conducted using a qualitative approach based on phenomenology and hermeneutics. Techniques such as structured interviews and life histories were applied to seven patients and two clinic professionals (a psychologist and a social worker).
