El patriarcado y su incidencia en el desarrollo laboral de las mujeres de la parroquia Santa Marianita del cantón Manta, años 2024 - 2025.

Abstract

The present mixed-method research aims to analyze the impact of patriarchy on the labor development of women in the Santa Marianita parish, Manta canton, during the year 2025. It investigated how gender stereotypes, patriarchal culture, the implementation of inclusive labor policies, and the participation of organizations in the benefit of female empowerment directly or indirectly affect women's access and permanence in the labor field. Additionally, it examined how male conduct and/or behavior influences women's labor development. For the collection of information on which the formulation of conclusions and recommendations was based, the semi-structured interview and survey were used as techniques, and the question bank and questionnaire were used as instruments. Both techniques were applied with the informed consent of the participants, and the sample used for the survey consisted of one hundred people and two interviews. The results obtained reveal that, although there are some advances, there persist thought structures and practices that reproduce inequality and hinder women's progress in the world of work. Most are employed in informal jobs, with low social recognition and little labor protection. Given the complexity of the situation, a profound transformation of sociocultural, educational, and institutional patterns is required. For all the above reasons, this research is intended to be used as a bibliographic reference for future intervention projects, contributing with academic knowledge, as women's labor rights are recognized as part of local development.
