Abstract

This case study analyzes the need to improve information management in the Human Resources Department of the Benemérito Fire Department of Manta, identifying technological limitations that affect both staff performance and the operational efficiency of the institution. Through semi-structured interviews, deficiencies were detected in the current system interface, a lack of ongoing staff training, and the absence of an intuitive platform that enables quick and secure access to information. In response to these findings, the design of a cloud-based management platform with virtual assistance is proposed, aiming to optimize the department’s internal processes, enhance information handling, and ensure a more efficient response to emergency situations involving citizens.
