Diagnóstico de los recursos con potencial turístico del cantón Pichincha, provincia de Manabí.

Abstract

This research work arises from the need to develop local tourism. Therefore, the objective of this work is to diagnose the tourism resources of the canton of Pichincha in the province of Manabí, in order to classify information to determine its tourism potential and design the proposal for the development of a tourist route. In order to accomplish the established objectives, the following objectives were proposed: Beginning with the inventory and ranking of the natural and cultural tourist attractions of the canton to establish if it is feasible to create a tourist route. Bibliographic sources concerning the research were reviewed, the methodology of field research and exploratory research was applied and the technique of interviewing a person in charge of the tourist area was used. It is concluded that the canton of Pichincha is an area of great tourist potential, which should be conditioned and implemented conveniently so that the tourist activity can be implemented as a source of economic development and improvement of the quality of life of the inhabitants of the canton.
