Métodos de enfunde y color de funda en plátano de exportación (Musa AAB).

Abstract

A research study was carried out in a banana plantation located in Recinto La Alegria at km 21 of the Chone-Santo Domingo road, with the general objective of evaluating the effect of the sleeving methods and the color of the sheath on the export banana (Musa AAB) in the canton of El Carmen, province of Manabi, For the development of this work, a completely randomized block design (DBCA) was established in factorial arrangement A x B, the statistical software InfoStat was used, the means obtained from the treatments were compared with the Tukey test at 5% probability; Factor A consisted of the closed acorn, 45 degree acorn and open acorn sleeving methods, while factor B was determined by the sheath color Blue and Green, 3 treatments were established for the statistical analysis, the variables to be measured were number of exportable hands, number of fingers per bunch and number of rejected fingers per bunch. The results found determined that neither the methods of sheathing nor the colors of the sheath significantly influence the number of hands and fingers per bunch produced in the barraganete plantain crop, in average of the research were obtained 6, 22 bunch-1 hands and 28.08 exportable bunch-1 fingers, for the number of rejected fingers per bunch, the factors in studies with the sheathing methods and sheath colors do not affect statistically the number of rejected fingers per bunch, on average 5.11 rejected fingers per bunch were found.
