Abstract

The modernization of pig production is really limited because it is a livestock activity that has been carried out in a traditional/empirical way in agricultural production units by small and medium-sized producers who usually have few animal health measures, producing adverse effects within the production; however, innovative measures have been taken by implementing new systems such as the aerial deep bed; Thus, the work focused on the weaning stage, with the main objective of implementing a manual within the framework of the deep aerial bed from agro-productive technological innovation to counteract the vulnerabilities that this stage has due to the physiological changes suffered in short time, trying to reduce the risk of several aspects, for example Contracting pathologies that may affect the life of the pigs due to not having adequate infrastructures in breeding. As a result of the aforementioned, the work was supported by empirical and theoretical ethodologies, in order to implement, from vernacular architecture, a swine innovation. In this way, it was possible to capture a didactic manual for the construction of deep aerial litter for pigs in the weaning stage, promoting its use by small and medium-scale pig farmers.
