dc.description.abstract | The present work arises from a study carried out in the upper basic education of the Educational Units of the Chone canton regarding the usability of the technological tool Microsoft Excel and its inertia in the teaching of mathematical operations, due to the fact that one of the problems presented is the incidence of the didactic use of it in the teaching process regarding the development of mathematical exercises. For which, the Fiscomisional Educational Unit "Cinco de Mayo" of the canton was taken as a reference, for which 86 people among the students that make up the 8th year of the parallels "A" and "B" and the teacher in charge of teaching the subject of mathematics were chosen for the development of this research. The methods applied were analysis and synthesis, inductive - deductive, bibliographic and statistical; and likewise, the techniques of surveys and interviews were used, where the following most transcendental results were obtained: 43% of the students know the Microsoft Excel program, on the other hand, 36% of the students have worked with said technological tool and 33% considered that the use of this can be an element to learn mathematics. As a result of the investigation, it was possible to determine that the use of Microsoft Excel improves the teaching-learning processes of mathematics in teachers and students, in order to be able to carry out the practices taught in a more solvent way and a faster resolution of exercises. | es |
