Diseño de un sistema de gestión de seguridad y salud en el trabajo, aplicando la norma iso 45001:2018, para la Universidad Laica Eloy Alfaro de Manabí, Campus Manta.

Abstract

This document proposes a design of an occupational health and safety management system for the Universidad Laica Eloy Alfaro de Manabí, Manta campus, following the indications of the requirements of the international standard ISO 45001: 2018. A field methodology was used to evaluate the level of execution of each of the sections of the standard in ISO 45001, through the application of a verification matrix. The results show a level of compliance of 37% of the requirements. In the study, documents were designed with the requirements of the sections: Context of the organization, Leadership and participation of workers, Planning, Support, Operation, Performance evaluation and Continuous improvement, which according to the standard, are fundamental for an effective management of occupational health and safety, whose implementation would allow the Eloy Alfaro Lay University of Manabí, Manta campus, comply with current legal regulations on OSH and could ensure an international certification in ISO 45001: 2018.
