Caracterización de los establecimientos de turismo comunitario en la provincia de Manabí.

Abstract

Community tourism is characterized by the provision of coexistence and hospitality services of cultures, traditions or customs between hosts and tourists. In this context, the following research arises based on establishing the respective characterization of existing community tourism establishments in the province of Manabí. For the development of this work a methodology is applied, which implies the use of techniques such as the survey, the interview and an observation sheet. A total of 170 responses were compiled in the application of the survey questionnaire and in the interview 12 opinions were collected from those in charge of said places. As results provided in this project, it is obtained that there are a total of 12 community tourism centers in this province, among the main benefits that these bring to the communities is the care and preservation of natural resources. While in the disadvantages the little support from the governments of the day is detected, to this is added the low quality of knowledge in the personnel who provide their services in said places, especially in aspects such as language and technology management. There is also no evidence of adequate promotion of the activities. In the same way, at the conclusion of this investigation, a web page is designed with the objective of promoting community tourism in the province of Manabí. On this site you will find information on all establishments, their location in real time, access routes, available services and other activities to be carried out.
