Estudio gastronómico en el cantón Rocafuerte y su incidencia económica, año 2022.

Abstract

This thesis focuses on analysing the economic impact of gastronomic activity in the Rocafuerte canton during the year 2022. The general objective of the present research is "To know the reasons that generate the lack of awareness of the economic impact of the Rocafuerte canton as a result of the gastronomic activity, in the year 2022". For this, the research has a methodological type of analysis and synthesis, presenting a technical support characterised by a survey and interview to obtain relevant data on the reasons that generate lack of awareness of the economic impact. The study revealed that gastronomic activity plays a significant role in the local economy of Rocafuerte. The results of the interviews and surveys to the population and owners of gastronomic establishments showed that gastronomy is an important attraction for visitors, both national and foreign. Among the hypotheses raised, the lack of research, the lack of interest on the part of the related sectors and the lack of information provided by the municipality of the canton were highlighted. Based on the data obtained in the research, a proposal was made to carry out an information project on the economic impacts in the Rocafuerte canton. The proposal put forward and the information gathered can serve as a basis for future research.
