Conectividad y accesibilidad de la red urbana de la Parroquia Picoazá según criterios desarrollados en el Plan Portoviejo 2035: La mejor ciudad para vivir del Ecuador.

Abstract

In the current urban planning of the Portoviejo Canton, referring to the "Plan Portoviejo 2035, the best city to live in Ecuador" several objectives have been developed, and number two is the one that is analyzed in the present investigation, to achieve it, it has been proposed a main investigative objective that consists of the analysis of the connectivity and accessibility of the urban network in public transport, according to the aforementioned plan, and to fulfill it, three specific objectives are proposed that translate into the identification of the state of these connectivity factors and accessibility, the diagnosis of the due socialization of objective 2 proposed in the Portoviejo 2035 plan, and finally the general evaluation of the application of its proposal. To achieve them, information gathering techniques were applied that included field work in which the current reality of the Parish regarding accessibility and connectivity was verified, in addition to surveying people regarding their knowledge of the proposals that the planning of the Canton proposes. This investigative work gave as a result that the connectivity and accessibility of the Parish definitely requires a replanting to improve, that there are deficiencies in the inclusion of accessible spaces for people with disabilities, and that planning has not been sufficiently socialized.
