Análisis de la planificación y descentralidad urbana de la cabecera cantonal de Rocafuerte período 2000-2021.

Abstract

The present investigation has the general objective of analyzing the processes of territorial planning and urban decentralization within the urban limit of Rocafuerte, a small city with a characterization of central place, where the loss of such centrality and historical value is perceived, in virtue of this is established in order to obtain a diagnosis about the growth and expansion of the territory through a study of the site; In order to achieve this, some objectives are mentioned in which the key aspects of the planning of a territory and the methods applied in the territorial planning will be studied, in relation to what is exposed by the centrality and decentrality in the context of a small city. Likewise, the work will convey how the logic of urban growth and structuring processes determine the model of a city, in this case Rocafuerte. As a methodology of study, the quantitative and qualitative method was used through the use of measurement techniques and tools in each of the methods in order to determine the variables proposed in the research. In order to know which are the existing imbalances in Rocafuerte that influenced the loss of its center, the deconcentration of the facilities and discomfort in the citizenship. With the final objective of proposing strategies that allow the recovery and consolidation of the urban center of Rocafuerte, in search of improving the quality of life and structuring of the city.
