Hospital veterinario de servicio y atención integral en el cantón Manta.

Abstract

The Public Veterinary Hospital is a new urban facility created in response to the lack of attention to animal health and the growing number of stray animals living in cities around the world. The city of Manta is no exception. Currently, control measures such as sterilization campaigns have been tried, but the problem has not been completely solved. According to the research carried out with studies and surveys on the population of Manta, the sampling method was applied to previously conduct a survey within the estimated place to implement the project and thus, approach the project in a coherent manner. This integrative project proposes to design the first public animal hospital in the city of Manta, capable of attending the medical needs of the urban wildlife; in addition to the pets of local families, considering facilities that promote physical and mental well-being. Taking into account the most common species and the most frequent surgical procedures, with the implementation of the Veterinary Hospital it is proposed to project an adequate design of service and comprehensive care, with the intention of contributing to the management of the municipality and thus improving the quality of life of pets in the city, and therefore the residents of Manta.
