Propuesta de diseño arquitectónico de un geoparque turístico cultural en el cantón Jaramijó.

Abstract

Jaramijó is a city located in Manabí, its main activities are fishing and tourism, it has public spaces that are not used to enhance the value and cultural identity, affecting the urban image due to neglect or disinterest of the municipal authorities. The objective of this project is to improve the habitability and promote the development of cultural, economic, tourist and recreational activities in the city, improving the urban image and mainly to increase the urban green index. For this reason, the idea of implementing an architectural design proposal for a cultural tourism geopark, which involves activities of recovery and conservation of natural areas, and contributes to the improvement of local economic development, is defended. Based on the collection of theoretical information, we proceeded to collect data: surveys, field observation, interviews and bibliographic information with those involved in the study process: citizens and authorities of the GADM Jaramijó, in order to diagnose and interpret the results and verify the idea put forward in the inquiry. As a result, it is possible to obtain the satisfaction of the citizens to know previously the idea of an urban-architectural project as an initiative to rescue the identity of the people, improve the urban image, and social integration in cultural, recreational and enjoyment spaces for the citizens. Therefore, it is concluded with a favorable response for the elaboration of an architectural project based on the current needs obtained in the research.
