Estudio de factibilidad para la producción de pollos camperos en el cantón El Carmen.

Abstract

The breeding of free-range chickens occurs from incubation, to obtain a high production of chick and then be raised and sold to show relevant results to those who want to start production and see the benefits they provide. The consumption of chicken is increasing, therefore, there are problems that affect consumers, so parameters must be managed and production improved, free-range chicken is appetizing and has a larger market in the canton of El Carmen. The chicken Campero, known as semi-criollo, is an expression commonly used for free-range chickens. At the rural level, they are birds of genetic characteristics different from those of the broiler chicken, their characteristics are: a little slow their growth, colored plumage, raised in semi-intensive systems between sheds access to patios with grazing and with a balanced diet based on grains. The feeding protocol establishes the use of commercial feeds with restriction in their formulation, due to side effects. This type of chicken is more feasible for its flavor, although its growth is twice as evolutionary as the Creole btaining its similarities in 85% for its feeding and whistling-grazing. The management is based on a special balanced diet (ecological) in confinement its completion time varies between 75 and 90 days according to the protocol and food scheme.
