The investigative work carried out was carried out based on a test in which the effect of the use of clay (bentonite) as a food additive in broiler chickens in the fattening stage was measured, the same one that was carried out in the time of 45 days considering weight gain and feed conversion indicators; For this, four treatments were applied, being the control and the use of bentonite at 4, 6 and 8 percent, in four repetitions and the information was collected once a week, for data processing an experiment with DBCA completely randomized blocks, and with an ADEVA design, with a Tukey significance test at 0.5%. The general objective being to evaluate bentonite as a feed additive during the fattening stage of broiler chickens. According to the results, it was obtained that the treatment recommended by the results that were the highest in benefit of the fattening of the chickens, the two with the use of 4% bentonite, for which the alternative hypothesis that establishes that "the inclusion of bentonite as a food additive has an effect on the productive parameters of broiler chickens in the fattening stage". This shows that when bentonite is included as a food additive, it generates a greater gain in weight with an increase of 843 grams on average, which differs from the control treatment and 3 and 4; which in turn also generated a faster rate of fattening in broiler chickens, since the birds would leave earlier than expected and with an adequate weight for marketing.es
