Residualidad de antibióticos en ganaderías lecheras de la parroquia San Pedro de Suma.

Abstract

The objective of this study was to evaluate the presence of antibiotic residues from three families: Beta-lactams, Tetracyclines and Sulfonamides in fresh milk purchased by producers from the San Pedro de Suma parish in El Carmen canton, Manabí province. 25 samples of milk from different farms of producers in the parish of San Pedro de Suma were analyzed. The results of the evaluation of the bacterial fermentative growth test (Lactobacillus bulgaricus and Streptococcus thermophilus) were negative, the presence of beta-lactam antibiotic compounds, tetracyclines and sulfonamides through the TriTest BTS kit from Ring Biotechnology Co, Ltda were also negative, determined that there was no presence of antibiotic residues in the San Pedro de Suma Parish, evaluated by means of the Yogurt Inhibition test and the rapid BTS Strip Test; In addition, it was defined that there is no risk factor in the aspects considered as technical assistance, lack of knowledge of antibiotics, withdrawal time and the others that were considered in this investigation.
