Abstract

Urban regeneration proposal as an integrative project for a neighborhood area of ​​the city of Manta, specifically in the 2 de Agosto neighborhood of the Eloy Alfaro parish, which presents an index of urban deterioration in its public spaces and green areas, becoming the neighborhood as a vulnerable and unsafe area for the residents, so that a research, collecting information from the sector, determining its causes and effects of the problem that has arisen and through this way make an approach towards the proposal of urban regeneration for the improvement of public spaces and the use of residual spaces, converting them into recreation and spacing areas, according to its population. The proposed urban solution will have significant value for the inhabitants of the area since it would rehabilitate and enhance the site, improving the urban image of the sector, through strategic methods optimizing the habitat of the inhabitants with the use of techniques that are feasible for society and sustainable with the environment, generating impacts towards this collective group and its surroundings. Meeting the urban needs of society resident and the floating population that visits it. The objective is to improve the urban life of inhabitants and directly influence the improvement of the natural landscape by also returning a sustainable and flexible project. Finally, recommendations are made so that the problems that exist in the areas urban areas do not continue to develop and that the quality of public spaces improves throughout the city.
