Planificación urbana estratégica para la cabecera cantonal de Santa Ana que potencialice su paisaje natural.

Abstract

As part of the project “Strategic urban planning for the cantonal capital of Santa Ana that enhances its natural landscape”, this research shows the feasibility of carrying out an urban-landscape integration for this important tributary and the city, considering the cantonal head of Santa Ana and the section included in the Portoviejo River that crosses the canton. Through this intervention we seek to solve the pollution problems currently present in the river, which have affected the different ecosystems that make it up, in addition to deteriorating the urban-landscape image of the area. Finally, criteria are proposed for generate recreational and environmental recovery spaces, as well as integration into the social-urban environment that allows its rehabilitation. The characteristics of current Latin American Urbanism are framed in the search for the restructuring of the city, in strengthening the Urban Systems and especially in the renewal and revitalization of Space Public surrounding a relationship with the natural landscape.
