dc.description.abstractThermography is a too! that allows us to have an overview of the temperature of a specific area of equipment and electrical installations, allowing us to identify hot spots avoiding direct contact between people when manipulating electrical installations directly without a background of how the electrical system is doing. This study analyzed the versatility of this too! being applied in the main distribution boards ex.isting on the ULEAM Manta campus to diagnose the state of its main electrical installations through technical visits the necessary information will be obtained to identify if there are anomalies in its electrical system considering that the safety of people is fundamental and through the use of a thermal camera (Eco-v Model HIKMICRO brand) it will be possible to Identify hot spots of specific areas and elements of the electrical cabinets, contributing to the collection of data in a safe way for technicians. This document frames the development and collection of data with the use ofthis too! applied in institutional facilities in order to propose improvements, possible solutions or maintenance of the system . Based on the basic concepts and terms applied in the correct design and implementation ofthe selection ofelectrical elements, conductors, protections and electrical cabinets. The methodology used includes obtaining data in the field to then analyze them in the office and determine electrical anomalies resulting from high temperatures; where it was possible to identify that 57 .14% of the panels have a temperature between 41.8 ºC and 80.70 ºC, the main cause ofthe elevated temperature being a load imbalance between the conductive phases.es
