Resumen : | This paper analyzed family disintegration as a causal factor in the consumption of addictive substances, focusing on the experience of rehabilitation clinics in the city of Manta during the year 2024. This study was relevant for its contribution to the understanding of the effects of family disintegration on the psychological and social well -being of individuals, particularly in the increase in addictive behaviors. The purpose of the research was to identify the causes and consequences of family disintegration and its relationship with the consumption of psychoactive substances, in order to offer information that allows the design of more effective interventions in the field of Social Work. A qualitative methodology was used. In addition, it is of a hermeneutic approach since this method includes interpretive work with the purpose of observing a phenomenon and finding its meaning, using the inductive method, such as interview and observation techniques to collect data on family dynamics and the experiences of users in rehabilitation clinics. Among the main results, it was shown that family disintegration contributes significantly to substance use, due to emotional and social factors that affect family members, especially children. The research concluded with recommendations to promote dialogue and family cohesion, fundamental elements to mitigate the impact of disintegration and the consumption of addictive substances in the community of Manta. |
