Estrategia de trabajo social y su incidencia en la inclusión laboral de los adultos mayores, del patronato del cantón manta, año 2024.

Abstract

This study analyzed the strategies applied by Social Work to promote the labor inclusion of older adults in the Board of Trustees of the Manta canton during 2024. The research focused on understanding how these strategies contribute to improving their participation in work activities and facing obstacles. that arise due to their age and state of health. The objective was to identify actions that promote their economic and personal integration. The main strategies included training in practical activities such as crafts, sewing, gardening and cooking, which allowed older adults to generate income and improve their skills. The methodology was a qualitative approach, where the epistemological foundations were carried out; such as phenomenology, and ethnology, we proceeded to accompany key informants such as; ten older adults and a Social Worker, to whom the collection techniques that facilitated the research were carried out, such as; the interview and participant observation and finally the recording and transcription techniques which gave way to the questionnaire and photographs. As a result of the interviews carried out, it was possible to obtain that the strategies of the Social Worker of the Board of Trustees are fundamental for the incorporation of the elderly into the world of work, taking into account that there are some limitations for the elderly. In conclusion, the importance of Social Work strategies in the labor inclusion of older adults is highlighted; despite the challenges, these strategies contribute significantly to improving their participation in daily work activities.
