Síndrome de burnout y su incidencia en el entorno laboral en el área de producción de PetFood en la empresa Eurofish S.A.

Abstract

In the present research, a study was conducted on how burnout syndrome affects the work environment in the PetFood division of the company Eurofish,with the general objective being "To analyze the impact of burnout syndrome on the work environment in the production area of PetFood at Eurofish S.A.". This research adopted a quantitative approach using various research types such as: bibliographic, descriptive, and correlational. A questionnaire was used as the instrument, evaluated under the Likert scale, which consisted of 10 items covering both variables. This questionnaire was administered to 79 employees from the PetFood production area. In general terms, and considering the predominant data, 51.9% report physical exhaustion at the end of the workday, while 43°/o of the employees mentioned feeling emotional exhaustion related to their work activities. A total of 97.5°/o of employees perceive a positive work environment in terms of acceptance and appreciation in their workplace, and around 93.6°/o of respondents believe that collaboration and teamwork between departments are encouraged. The results indicated that employees perceive the work environment as positive. However, there are areas where dissatisfaction levels were reflected, indicating that burnout syndrome does affect the perceptions that determine the quality of experience of employees within the work environment. These findings highlight the importance of implementing strategies that reduce the incidence of burnout syndrome and ensure that all employees feel supported, motivated, and committed to the company.
