Control de mosca blanca (Bemisia tabaci), empleando diferentes trampas en el cultivo de pepino (Cucumis sativus L.) en el sitio Mache.

Abstract

This research work was carried out at the Mache site belonging to the Cojimíes parish of the Pedernales canton with the aim of evaluating the control of the whitefly (Bemisia tabaci), using different traps in the cucumber crop (Cucumis sativus L.), considering that this pest insect causes considerable damage in this crop, the effectiveness of the traps for (B. tabaci) was identified through the number of individuals per trap, height and number of fruits per plant. A DBCA was used, with randomly drawn treatments distributed in the field, with plants planted 50 cm between plants and 1.2 m between rows, where different types of traps were applied to control this pest insect, the results of the research determine the following: The treatment that presented the best efficacy (T2 honey) for its characteristics of attractant, adherents and number of insects captured, in terms of production costs were established at $ 256.75 in inputs and tools, the costs per treatment were $ 51.35.
