Análisis y propuesta estructural del proyecto del edificio ecu 911 ubicado en el sector el Palmar de Manta – Ecuador.

Abstract

The technical project titled "Analysis and Structural Proposal for the ECU 911 Building Project Located in the El Palmar Sector of Manta – Ecuador" was established with the aim of contributing to the planning process of an ECU 911-type building, and with an engineering perspective, providing design observations and recommendations based on structural calculations and the use of analysis software such as ETABS and GEO5. The project requested architectural design and structural foundations to contribute to the design phase. In this regard, the careers of architecture and civil engineering from the "Eloy Alfaro" University of Manabí participated, contributing to the project alongside faculty and students. The ECU 911 building consists of the following levels: basement, ground floor, upper floor, and an accessible slab. To carry out this project, results from a previous participation of the engineering program regarding the type of soil at the site defined for the construction were obtained. Architectural plans were also acquired, with the architecture program’s involvement. Through this project, structural foundations, such as the dimensions and types of structural elements, are defined, which will work in the building and will be established according to design regulations. This work presents the analysis of the structure based on the architectural plans and specifications. For this purpose, the behavior of the structure was verified using ETABS, and recommendations were made based on the results.
