Diagnóstico de la situación actual Islas Fragatas y Los Pájaros con fines turísticos.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to diagnose the current situation of the Fragata and Los Pájaros Islands to identify opportunities for sustainable tourism management. The methodology was based on a descriptive and exploratory study, focusing on analyzing the islands' tourism potential using a sample of 207 inhabitants, selected through a sampling formula. Theoretical methods such as descriptive and deductive were applied, along with empirical techniques such as scientific observation and structured surveys to community members and tourists. The results revealed that the islands have great potential for active tourism due to their biodiversity, natural landscapes, and strategic location. However, the need to improve tourism infrastructure and ensure the preservation of the natural environment was emphasized. Activities such as bird watching and hiking provide opportunities for sustainable tourism that can contribute to the economic development of the local community without compromising ecological balance.
