Abstract

This paper analyzes the influence of sustainable entrepreneurship on the family economy of the San Jorge de Leónidas Plaza commune. The central problem of the study is to determine how sustainable practices implemented in local businesses can improve families' economic conditions and contribute to community development. The study is based on a mixed theoretical and methodological approach, utilizing deductive, inductive, and empirical methods, including surveys administered to entrepreneurs in the commune. The techniques employed included structured questionnaires and technological tools such as Google Forms and SPSS software for analyzing the collected data. The results showed that most ventures are in early stages (1 to 4 years), with moderate income and limited resources. Furthermore, a low adoption of sustainable practices was identified, mainly due to a lack of specific knowledge and difficulties in accessing markets interested in sustainable products. Furthermore, it was observed that those entrepreneurs who implemented sustainable strategies perceived improvements in their family well-being and access to economic resources. The proposal is to create a practical guide that provides clear and accessible strategies for promoting sustainability in local businesses. It concludes that promoting sustainable practices and training entrepreneurs are key factors for strengthening the family economy and community development in the San Jorge commune.
