Cultura Manteña y su incidencia en la oferta turística del cantón Manta.

Abstract

This research analyzes the influence of the Manteña culture on the tourist offer of the Manta canton, Ecuador. The study delves into historical, artistic, architectural, gastronomic and traditional aspects, identifying key elements that make up the local cultural identity. A classification of cultural resources was carried out, such as archaeological sites, artistic manifestations and traditional festivities, with the objective of analyzing the impact of the Manta culture on the tourist offer of the Manta canton. In addition, strategies were proposed to preserve and promote this cultural wealth, including the creation of tourist circuits, investment in cultural infrastructure and the implementation of educational programs aimed at both the local community and visitors. The research used a qualitative methodological approach, using techniques such as documentary review and expert interviews. The results highlight the relevance of the Manteña culture for the development of sustainable cultural tourism in Manta, while underlining the challenges related to the preservation and valuation of heritage. In conclusion, this study contributes to academic knowledge and promotes the integration of the Manteña culture as a pillar of regional tourism development, strengthening its economic and social impact.
