Abstract

This degree work focuses on the creation of a computer system with data mining for the logistics of restaurant suppliers in the EI Carmen canton. The fundamental purpose of this initiative is to improve efficiency and coordination in the supply chain, benefiting both the suppliers and the restaurants involved. To achieve this project, it has been decided to implement the waterfall methodology, in order to simplify the management of software development processes. To achieve the objective, bibliographic sources were investigated that allowed us to know the variables applied. Additionally, tools were used to obtain information from supplier companies and restaurants in the El Carmen canton. Surveys were carried out on the restaurants and interviews with the distributors to learn about the application processes. For the development of the applications, it is decided to use the waterfall methodology, based on a step-by-step and sequential approach. The use of this method made it possible to establish specific objectives and deliverables in each phase, which facilitated the control and monitoring of the project process, offered an accurate vision of the requirements and allowed effective development planning. Tests were carried out on the operation of the software to evaluate its performance on different browsers and devices. The performance of data mining is also analyzed with the linear regression model, giving favorable results when making predictions, this to contribute to the planning in the management of resources of distribution companies.
