Abstract

To design a manual of biosafety measures for the protection of healthcare personnel. Method: A documentary study that seeks to explain, in a rational and characteristic sense, the clinical manifestations of the biological risks to which nursing personnel are exposed and also seeks to emphasize the more conscious implementation of biosafety measures within the workplace. Result: Based on the research presented, it is determined that nursing professionals face the greatest risk of infection due to the constant invasive procedures they perform and their continuous direct patient care. Conclusions: It can be conclusively understood that the proper management and use of biosafety measures will significantly reduce the exposure to which nursing personnel face, greatly influencing their own care and that provided to patients.
