Desarrollo de actividades de turismo rural post covid-19 como propuesta para la diversificación de la oferta turística, caso Manta.

Abstract

This research work was carried out with the main objective of analyzing the development of tourist activities in the rural sector of the city of Manta to serve as a basis for the creation of new post-COVID-19 pandemic tourism products. For this, several tools were used, one of them the bibliographic review, which, through the theoretical precepts related to the aforementioned topic, it was possible to obtain a better understanding of the topic, following a common thread starting the tourist background worldwide, the typologies in which tourism has been divided in recent times, and the socioeconomic impact that this phenomenon has had worldwide, followed by this, the scientific concept of rural tourism, its classification, and finally the relationship that the rural sector has with COVID-19. Another tool present in this project is qualitative epistemology, which helped to know the tourist characteristics of the rural parishes of Manta, for this, a focus group was formed with a total of 8 participants, who were selected for their experience in the rural setting and who were asked questions related to the main topic. From these tools, the result was that Manta has a limited tourist offer and that the rural area would be a good tool for tourist diversification, since in this sector it is possible to comply with biosafety protocols mainly because its activities are carried out in open spaces and also focuses on new trends in tourism, however, some aspects must be improved for its strengthening and greater tourist influx, that is where the corresponding authorities must intervene.
