Abstract

The objective of this study was to propose a tourism proposal that elevates the city of Manta as a destination for artistic events and trade fairs, post-pandemic. A mixed qualitative and quantitative research was conducted, it was determined that in Manta at present the most relevant fair for the city is the Trade Fair, held by the Chamber of Commerce, also the artistic event that has greater importance annually is the Festival of Orchestras, the instrument used was a survey that was applied to a sample of 100 adults and it was found that 70% of respondents agree that advertising is an important factor to attract tourists to the city, In addition, interviews were conducted with professionals linked to the artistic and commercial sector, who pointed out that the city shows a lack of spaces for these large-scale events, so it was concluded that in the city of Manta, it is appropriate to hold artistic events and trade fairs, as they will generate economic, social and cultural benefits to the local population.
