Propuesta de un plan que fomente el desarrollo ecoturístico sostenible.

Abstract

Tourist destinations must be properly managed to guarantee the protection of attractions and the quality of tourism products, offers and experiences. In this way we can determine that the implementation of sustainable strategies is important because it ends up favoring all those involved in tourism activity and even citizen participation. Based on the previous argument, this project aims to propose strategies focused on the sustainability of natural attractions in order to adapt them for the ecotourism activity in the city of Bahía de Caráquez and achieve a tourist reactivation based on this modality and avoid the crowds in urban spaces especially in the high season and achieve a decrease in infections caused by COVID-19. It is important to strategically develop planning that addresses the main axes of tourism development and make them work in a sustainable way, promoting tourism products and services that are authentic and demonstrate the uniqueness of the destination and again consider itself as an eco-city. The study of this research is descriptive because it seeks to understand the level of knowledge and if they were willing to carry out ecotourism activities in the areas currently designated to develop this modality of tourism. Likewise, qualitative, and quantitative methods were used to develop tourism strategies for reactivate tourism in the city. Surveys were carried out aimed at the population of Bahía de Caráquez from 17 years onwards and interviews with those in charge of the tourism direction GAD Sucre, all the information collected was a great contribution to the investigation since the situation was known current in terms of ecotourism in this area. To conclude, through the results obtained based on the instruments used, strategies aimed at conserving natural spaces were developed.
