Resumen : The aim of this research is to analyze the contribution of pre-professional internships to the labor market integration of graduates of the ULEAM Social Work Program during the year 2024, through the employability rate and labor market demand. At the methodological level, a descriptive and documentary approach was maintained, in addition, the analysis-synthesis method was used to break down and interpret each of the elements that influence labor market integration, such as acquired skills, areas of performance, or mentor support. A 10-question closed-ended Likert-type survey was administered, organized into sections such as demographic aspects, characteristics of the internship, and labor market integration, to a random sample of 249 graduates. The survey was subsequently processed in SPSS statistical software, allowing for a characterization of the phenomenon and the establishment of relationships between variables. The results showed that the majority of students completed their pre-professional internships in the fields of health and education, and that the most frequently acquired skills were teamwork and interpersonal skills. However, a low perception was also identified regarding the connection between the activities performed and the required job skills. It was concluded that pre-professional internships are not always aligned with the needs of the labor market; therefore, practical experience was the main factor facilitating job placement, above academic training.
