Abstract: | This research project focuses on a comparative analysis between the literary and cinematic narratives of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, with the aim of identifying how both can be integrated and complement each other as teaching tools in the area of Language and Literature. It analyzes the influence of literary and cinematic narratives on the teaching-learning process within the field and compiles reflective interpretations and narrative preferences of ninth-grade students in upper secondary education and teachers at the Fiscomisional Educational Unit “Juan Montalvo” through data collection using research instruments such as surveys and interviews, considering the study of the proposed work. The comparative analysis between both narratives is supported by multiple contributions through a solid theoretical framework to analyze the factors that make up the topic. Consequently, the research is measured in terms of knowing the preferences of students and teachers in terms of formats. During this same period, it has been appropriate to analytically estimate the elements, details, and characters that are either omitted or substituted in both narratives and their influence on the approaches and understanding of those who receive the information, either through reading the book or watching the film. This research compares both narratives: literary and cinematographic, and highlights the latter to understand whether it can compete with literature or function as a pedagogical and andragogical resource that encourages reading and critical thinking. |
