Abstract

TEFL in community service is a process that takes place in schools through elementary and high school levels. It aims to apply the knowledge obtained during internships and academic training. This involves not only academic activities, but also cultural and inclusive projects to promote and develop personal and community growth. TEFL in community service is the result of all the knowledge and experience I have gained throughout my college studies and internships. It has been a challenge that allowed me to put into practice every aspect of teaching English as a foreign language, helping me become a better teacher and mentor in the future. My community service teaching was done at Dra Guadalupe Larriva high school, starting on May 13th, 2024, and ending on February 25th, 2025. I performed more as an English teacher than an assistant due to the lack of a proper teacher in the institution, which led to an exhausting but fulfilling experience.
