Impacto socioeconómico del turismo en la parroquia rural San Lorenzo del cantón Manta.

Abstract

Tourism is an essential activity for the economy of most cities in Ecuador and other countries worldwide, as it contributes significant monetary income to the inhabitants of a specific sector or region, directly influencing their quality of life and commercial, cultural, and social development. The main topic of this research is "SOCIOECONOMIC IMPACT OF TOURISM IN THE RURAL PARISH OF SAN LORENZO, MANTA CANTON." This project seeks to analyze relevant data that affect the tourist diversification of the area. The main stakeholders are the owners and managers of the various establishments that operate in the local tourist spots, as well as the visitors who generate traffic to the facilities. Currently, San Lorenzo de Manta has a variety of high-profile tourist spots. Its main destination is the beautiful beach that attracts locals and foreigners, as well as its varied cuisine and various attractions that capture the attention of its visitors. However, its development and the realization of its true potential are limited by factors analyzed in this paper. With the aim of analyzing the socioeconomic impact of tourism in the rural parish of San Lorenzo in the canton of Manta, the causes limiting its tourism development were initially identified. The current socioeconomic situation was analyzed, and it was possible to identify the parish's tourist attractions and the importance of their potential for its inhabitants. It is worth noting that a literature review was conducted, which was relevant to understanding the research points (tourism, culture, natural attractions, gastronomy, socioeconomic profile, economic influence on travel, among others), topics that were addressed effectively and in detail, which have been with truthful information related to the topic studied, in addition to a survey directed at tourists with the purpose of achieving a clear understanding that allows achieving the established objectives.
