Estrategias para la reducción de asentamientos informales en zonas de riesgo en la parroquia Abdón Calderón.

Abstract

It is evident that a large part of the Ecuadorian territory is at risk due to the presence of natural and man-made events. Population growth that is not well organized or planned brings with it a series of negative consequences in the social, environmental and personal spheres, since the inhabitants begin to settle in areas of vulnerability, resulting in the quality of life of the human being. For this reason, this research is based on identifying how the inadequate planning and informality of the Abdón Calderón Parish affects the structure. For this, several components were taken into account for the diagnosis such as roads, the fabric of the Parish, growth of the urban sprawl, irrigation areas, land use, gaps and coverage of essential services. Next, the analysis of the results and discussion of measures to be implemented through a resilient method were carried out. The bibliographies and cartographies will allow knowing the area of study in the investigation for the strategies that could reduce the disorganized growth due to lack of follow-up and control by the authorities.
