Abstract

This investigative work presents an analysis of the current situation of a facility urban and intervention proposal of market n°2 as an architectural space of the city ​​of Portoviejo. It is a research contribution that reveals the constant problems which has one of the most emblematic municipal markets in the city, where it is evident a maintenance system in its infrastructure in a precarious manner, bad practice in the internal and external waste collection, saturated spaces and conflict in accessibility and mobility, all this prevents the proper development of commercial activity, service and comfort within this equipment. As the research develops, the methodological structure is proposed based on analysis and diagnosis at the equipment site, we will also find information transcendental within a theoretical framework, referential and legal framework. Analysis and interpretation of results plays a fundamental role that allows us to determine alternative solutions through an architectural proposal.
