Plan urbano para la protección del casco central de la ciudad de Montecristi.

Abstract

The present work analyzes the factors that cause spatial urban degradation that the central areas of the cities suffer and therefore that of their elements, the same ones that contain a high heritage value, the development of the research takes place in the central part of the city of Montecristi. The content of this work focuses on the importance of historical centers and the role they play in cities, as well as the protection of their heritage and the integration of these into the urban context, which allows tourism to consolidate, re-emerge and the character of the canton is maintained, avoiding the degradation of the image, history and culture traditional, because heritage is a resource that is not exchangeable. When beginning the investigation through a field reconnaissance where it can be palpate the current and real situation, the methodology is applied based on observation techniques and collection of bibliographic information, with this it is possible to reach a conclusion generalized surface so it is necessary to support what was observed through the extraction of data applying the use of surveys to the people who live in the sector. The results of the investigation direct us to develop a proposal in the place that study that allows delimiting the historic central area of ​​the city as a measure of protection of heritage and at the same time meeting the needs of the population, developing inclusive public spaces to carry out leisure activities.
