Resumen : This project analyzes the impact of academic tourism experiences as a strategy to encourage high school students to choose a Tourism career. The study addresses the issue of the low perception of this profession as a viable career with growth opportunities, due to a lack of information and persistent stereotypes about the sector. To support the research, surveys will be conducted with students to understand their perceptions of the tourism career and the factors influencing their career choices. Based on these findings, a proposal for academic tourism experiences will be developed, allowing students to participate in immersive activities that give them firsthand exposure to the tourism industry. These experiences will be designed to explore various areas of the sector, such as destination management, event planning, ecotourism, and hospitality. Through these activities, students will gain a deeper understanding of the profession, its economic and social impact, and the real opportunities for growth within the industry. The project aims to demonstrate that tourism is not only a dynamic and exciting career but also offers multiple opportunities for professional growth. By doing so, it hopes to generate greater interest in the field and promote a clearer and more positive vision of a future in the tourism industry.
Descripción : El presente proyecto analiza el impacto de las experiencias turísticas académicas como estrategia para fomentar la elección de la carrera de Turismo entre los estudiantes de secundaria. Se parte de la problemática de la baja percepción de esta profesión como una opción viable y con oportunidades de crecimiento, debido a la falta de información y la existencia de estereotipos sobre el sector.
