Influencia de coberturas artificiales del suelo para el crecimiento de guanábana (var. Gigante).

Abstract

In Ecuador, soursop cultivation is currently booming due to the nutritional and medicinal properties of this fruit. For this reason, this research focused on determining the influence of artificial and natural (organic) covers on the growth of soursop (Annona muricata). Therefore, plastic covers were used to study the behavior of the plant during the development stage and dry season in El Carmen, Manabí. The research was carried out at the Río Suma Experimental Farm, belonging to the Eloy Alfaro Lay University of Manabí, Ext. El Carmen, where a Completely Randomized Block Design (CRBD) was established with six treatments and eight repetitions. The treatment averages were compared with the Tukey test at 5% probability. The variables to be measured were: plant height, stem diameter, number of branches, and soil microbial activity under the covers. The results obtained showed that there were no significant statistical differences only in the percentage of humidity and in the case of the agronomic variables (height, diameter and number of branches) there were only numerical differences, with T2 presenting the highest average.
