Análisis del rol de la mujer en la producción agropecuaria en la comunidad Los Bravos Chicos, del Cantón Chone – Ecuador, periodo 2023 – 2024.

Abstract

The objective of this graduation project was to analyze the role of women in agricultural production in the "Bravos Chicos" community of the Chone canton and its impact on food security and rural development, as the role of women in agricultural production is fundamental, since they are not only key agents in food production but also ensure family well-being and social cohesion. In this sense, exploratory research methods with a qualitative, analytical, and inductive approach were employed, as well as data collection techniques such as surveys and interviews. For the development of this research, the total population of Los Bravos Chicos, which is 9,620 inhabitants, was established, and a sample of 100 women was selected to whom the survey was applied, along with the community president for the interview, resulting in a total sample of 101 people. Based on the collected information, results were obtained where 100% expressed that their opinion is valued in family decisions related to agriculture. Likewise, 100% of the surveyed women stated that they believe greater female participation in the agricultural sector would improve their quality of life. Therefore, it was concluded that the women of the Los Bravos Chicos community are involved in decision-making related to agricultural production, including decisions on the purchase of supplies, sale of products, and crop planning.
