Abstract

This research paper aims to analyze the empowerment and challenges posed by female stereotypes in the novel "La Tigra." To this end, a qualitative study with a hermeneutic approach was conducted, based on in-depth interviews with literary scholars and psychologists who read the work, as well as a specialized bibliographic review. The analysis revealed that female representations within the narrative are not static, but rather undergo a process of transformation. The character of Francisca, in particular, embodies a figure of empowerment and resistance to traditional gender roles. These findings demonstrate how literature can function as a critical space from which stereotypes are challenged and redefined, opening the way to new ways of conceiving female identity in specific historical and sociocultural contexts.
