dc.description.abstract | The present research originates from the difficulty that high school students have in writing micro essays in a structured, reflective and argumentative way. Given this problem, the literary analysis of the lyrics of Julio Jaramillo's hallways is proposed as a pedagogical strategy that allows developing interpretive and writing skills, while promoting the recognition of Ecuadorian musical heritage. The study was carried out at the Juan Montalvo Fiscomisional Educational Unit with a mixed methodological approach, through surveys administered to students, analysis of micro essays prepared by them and a triangulation between empirical results, specialized bibliography and researcher perception. The findings reveal that, although there is general knowledge about the figure of Julio Jaramillo and an adequate emotional interpretation of his lyrics (love, heartbreak, melancholy), many students still find difficulties in understanding poetic language and structuring a micro essay. However, the use of their songs as a teaching resource has facilitated the progressive development of writing and critical analysis skills, in addition to strengthening the cultural link with national singer-songwriters. The research concludes that the analysis of musical lyrics is an effective way to teach how to write micro essays and at the same time preserve Ecuadorian cultural roots. | es |
