The most important values in society must be remembered by university students, for their significance and better social cohesion in life with others. Thus, literature is presented in a powerful and transformative way, as well as serving as a means for reflection. In this way, Saint Exupéry's work “The Little Prince” emerges as a valuable resource for the transmission of values and reflections on life. The overall objective of this study was to analyze the ethical and moral values underlying “The Little Prince,” identifying how these are represented through the characters and situations reflected in the work. It was based on mixed research, integrating qualitative and quantitative methods to obtain a more comprehensive study. It also had a descriptive level, and the method used was hermeneutic, which allowed for the analysis and interpretation of the corresponding information. A sample of 15 university students was taken for the survey, and a total of two participants were interviewed, both of whom are teachers at the Laica University “Eloy Alfaro de Manabí.” The results show that values are still relevant to students; however, values such as friendship are often neglected due to the different dynamics that arise in their environment. It is concluded that the work can help students put essential values into practice and value their connection with others.es
