Herramientas digitales (Canva), Como estrategia didáctica para la creación de cuentos.

Abstract

The research focuses on the digital tool Canva as a didactic strategy aimed at creating stories by first-year high school students at the Fiscomisional Educational Unit “Juan Montalvo,” during the 2024–2025 academic years. The study arises from the need to analyze digital platforms that have features to promote creative writing along with storytelling in the academic field. The research adopted a mixed-methods approach, implementing data collection instruments such as surveys, interviews, and a focus group to obtain both qualitative and quantitative data. The results indicate that the digital tool Canva stimulates student motivation and participation. Nevertheless, difficulties and limitations still persist, such as inequality in the handling of the tool by certain students, making it necessary to develop a pedagogical guide that teachers can apply to help students overcome these challenges. It is concluded that Canva is highly functional and enables the development of various skills; however, for greater and more effective application, pedagogical materials and continuous teacher support are required. It is recommended that teachers be trained in the strategic use of Canva to strengthen students' creative writing.
