Abstract

This project is about the indicators for sustainability in the restoration of cultural attractions in the Montecristi canton, whose main objective is to analyze the sustainability indicators and how these influence the restoration of cultural attractions in the Montecristi canton. In the research, three types of indicators were identified: environmental, social and economic. Based on the research, with adequate implementation of these indicators, the socioeconomic and cultural development of the locality can be increased, contributing considerably to the preservation of historical heritage and helping to promote sustainable tourism. The research methodology was carried out in an inductive and deductive manner, through the application of surveys to the inhabitants of the canton and interviews with key people for the research, considering various theoretical bases and sources such as: books, scientific articles and various website pages. Through the research, it was shown that sustainability indicators significantly influence the restoration of the canton's cultural attractions, by demonstrating that the restoration of attractions improves socioeconomic development, preserves heritage and helps promote cultural identity.
